He patiently explained the entire process before we did anything, and at each stage he laid out what we could expect and what he would be looking for from both us and our dogs. He never lost his cool or his patience, despite two very active dogs that frequently were more interested in everything around us than taking pictures. Andy ended up taking fantastic photographs and offering plenty of options for the final selections. He is not high pressure, rather opting to lay out everything in front of us and letting us choose what we like. “I didn’t “book” a session with Andy but rather he stopped and asked politely if he could take some pictures of my two dogs and I as we were colorful against the hill. “I first met Andy of Puppy Pix Pet Photography at an adoption event for the rescue I foster for. He came over to introduce himself and asked us which dog we felt needed some great pics to help with adoption. He took gorgeous photos of a dog we had in rescue for over 800 days and allowed us to use them to help advertise her.
Fast forward a few months, I hired Andy to capture the incredibly special bond between me and my dog. He's the one dog who changed my life in ways I never expected. Photos with him would mean everything to me and I trusted Andy to capture our bond, those feelings, in photo form.
I chose a location that was special to me, somewhere Andy had never before been. Prior to our session, he drove out to the location on his own time and scouted the area for good backgrounds and to determine which areas would need less light, more light, certain angles, etc. He was happy to add my husband and our other dog into the mix, making this session even more special.
On the day of our photo shoot, Andy explained clearly what we were to expect and his plan for the day. The entire time he made sure we felt comfortable and were ok with everything happening. He put a lot of effort into making the most of the background, the location itself, the meaning for us behind the photos, and he cared about how we were doing the entire time. He really did an incredible job holding the attention of our pups, even with one being deaf.
The entire experience was amazing and not at all stressful. Andy made everything so simple for us and did exactly what we asked.....he perfectly captured the bond between dog and human. These are photos we will have in our home forever, proudly on display. The time and effort Andy put into all details is incredible and appreciated. We loved how he sat with us during the photo reveal. He even hand delivered the final product to us!
Andy takes pride in his work and it shows. He spent a great deal of time editing and making sure we were completely satisfied with the photos. I highly recommend trusting Andy with your photo sessions!

“Andy is THE BEST person to go to if you want professional pictures of your dog. He’s meticulous, detailed oriented, and a thorough communicator. He came to our house to meet our dogs and understand their special needs and quirks as well as to get a sense of our homes natural lighting. When he came back for the session, he spent a few hours making sure to capture both of our dogs in their natural habitat. He came back to show off the edited pictures and let us pick out our favorites to have printed. When we got the final prints, I was blown away at the clarity and detail that appeared in the final images. We had just gotten married and asked Andy to also print a few of our wedding photos which he also cleared up to have the best looking prints ever. We’re so happy with the final product. I think his pricing is beyond reasonable for the level of time and detail that he gave us. “I first met Andy in January at an AKC Agility trial, but for some reason didn't expect to see him at the annual CKC Barn Hunt, mid-February. Nevertheless, he stopped by about halfway through the event, said Hi, and asked when I would be running my dog. I told him it would be at least another hour or two. He said he'd be back, and went upstairs to photograph some dogs in the Show Ring. I didn't see him when I entered the Barn Hunt Ring that afternoon, but the next day while I was beginning to pack up for the weekend, he approached me and said, "Hey, let me show you what I got yesterday". He then showed me these two amazing shots of me and my Airedale Terrier, Dagny at the very moment she completed the run that earned her a Masters Title, one of the Milestones in the sport. My point is that Andy has a knack for being in the right place at the right time. I give Andy 5 1/2 STARS for hisTechnical and Artistic Ability, Professionalism, and Customer Service. I'm a "Dog Person". That's what I do, and would enthusiastically recommend Andy to capture those special memories for you, whether it's portraiture, dog shows or dog sports.”

“We have two 8 year old adopted Cavalier King Charles dogs who are very sweet but not well trained. Andy was very patient with them as they ignored "sit", "stay", and "lay down". Amazingly, Andy was still able to take adorable pictures. He found creative ways to keep them under a bit of control, like having me hold their leashes (which disappeared in the final shots), Andy is flexible moving around on the floor and grass as he manages to capture "perfect" shots in between the dogs searching for bugs and looking opposite directions. We highly recommend Andy for pet pictures. We feel like his prices are reasonable, especially when we consider the beautiful and lasting pictures of our beloved furry family members. He is creative when he takes pictures, and he is creative in his editing. He was professional with us, and he clearly enjoys working with dogs. This is a passion for Andy, not just a "job".
